Jotsky ("Jotsky," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by Macay Fischer. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Jotsky iOS app (the "App"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
By creating an account or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.
Account information. To create an account you provide an email address and password, or sign in with Apple or Google, either of which shares a verified email address and a unique identifier with us. During onboarding we also ask for your birthdate (to confirm you're 13 or older and to support age-appropriate content) and, optionally, your gender — both used only for aggregate stats and are never shown on your public profile.
Profile information. Username, display name, bio, and profile picture (including any hand-drawn profile doodle), all of which are visible to other users.
Content you create. Jots (posts), comments, drawings, images, stickers, and edit history you create or upload. Images and drawings are stored with our cloud storage provider (Cloudflare R2); text content and metadata are stored in our database (Supabase).
Location (optional). If you choose to tag a jot with a place, the App uses your device's approximate location to suggest a place name. We store only the resulting place text (e.g. a neighborhood or city), never precise GPS coordinates, and only when you actively choose to attach one.
Usage and engagement data. Which jots you view and for how long, likes, shares, follows, bookmarks, "not interested" signals, and keywords or people you've blocked. We use this to run the app (e.g. your feed, your block list) and to keep basic engagement stats.
Reports and support communications. If you report content, block a user, or contact support, we keep a record of that report or message so we can act on it.
Push notification token. If you enable notifications, Apple assigns your device a push token, which we store so we can deliver notifications through Apple's Push Notification service (APNs).
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
We share information only as needed to operate the App:

Jots you delete are soft-deleted immediately (hidden from the App) and permanently purged, along with associated images, after 30 days. If you delete your account, your account and associated content are permanently deleted immediately — this cannot be undone.
Jotsky is not directed to children under 13, and we require users to confirm they are 13 or older during onboarding. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us at the email below and we will delete it.
We use industry-standard measures — including encrypted connections and access controls provided by our infrastructure providers — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App.
